Decorative Concrete Floor Coatings – Phoenix-M Technique

This project was actually completed in Pawtucket Rhode Island in a loft building using self leveling concrete and a technique called Phoenix-M. The project was completed by Pink’s Concrete Design who completes many projects in the Boston to Providence local area.

The product was  CST Products self leveling concrete floor coatings called Level 9. Level 9 is an outstanding product to use for loft conversions. Lofts always have remodeling challenges, especially with floors. Successful loft conversions require knowledge of building products and renovation techniques that solve problems. For those without this knowledge and experience, financial distater is imminent.

Pink’s Concrete Design is highly skilled in the use of decorative concrete floor coatings and polished concrete for lofts. They have helped many developers and loft owners with cost saving solutions while providing sensational decorative floors like this one.

Pink’s applied Level 9 self leveling concrete over a plywood substrate. The owner wanted a seamless, highly reflective surface which they achieved using 6″ x 6″ sheets of Silverleaf. To protect the decorative concrete, an epoxy sealer was applied.

The photos don’t show the sensational result. But you can see how well the concrete floor coatings work in a loft. The result provided a functional and cost effective solution while the decorative appearance complemented the old brick.
