Objective: SAXSLAB wanted to bring its new location into the 21st century.

Floor Size: Over 5,000 square feet on the 2nd floor, this area presented numerous obstacles common for older manufacturing buildings.

Problem: The existing substrate was badly cracked from years of wear & tear. Roughly one-quarter of the floor needed reinforcement and repair to reduce the risk of further damage.

Solution: New England Floor & Wall recommended installing reinforced fiberglass mat before the installation of the floor system. This process would increase the durability of the floor along with the flexural strength in these areas.
